Biochemical Engineering


B. Tech in Biochemical engineering is an undergraduate Biochemical Engineering course. Biochemical engineering is a department of chemical engineering or biological engineering. BE/B.Tech in Biochemical Engineering is a four-year course. The target of this Engineering is to prepare the students in Biochemical, Biotechnology, Microbial and furthermore Protein Frameworks

This course deals with the design and construction of unit techniques that involve biological organisms or molecules, including bioreactors. This course aims to assist progress in the essential chemical engineering factors of the improvement of organic processes associated with the entirety from raw materials preparation to product recovery, relevant to industries as diverse as Medical/Healthcare, food and environmental protection. Its applications are used in the Food, Feed, and Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Water Treatment industries. 

Courses & Eligibility

The eligibility for pursuing B. Tech in Biochemical Engineering, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology as major subjects. Independent entrance exams are also held by the various state, central, and private universities. A student can pursue M.Tech in Biochemical Engineering after completing  BE/B.Tech.

Biochemical Engineering course is provided by many public and private colleges in India. average tuition fee for this course is about Rs. 4 Lacs to Rs. 10 Lacs. The fee structure will be different for different institutions.
