About Exam

AP LAWCET exam is conducted by Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The applicants who wants to look for admission in the 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated law program offered by the state law schools in Andhra Pradesh have to qualify AP LAWCET.

The medium of test for the applicants showing up in the state level law examination is English and Telugu.

Application Fees

The application fees for AP LAWCET can be paid in online mode. The details are as follows:

  • Applicants need to pay the application fee of Rs. 750/- (for all candidates).
  • The fee payment should be done through debit/credit card, net banking or AP online centers.


Application Procedure

These are procedures that should be followed to apply for the exam of AP LAWCET:

  • Students can fill and submit the AP LAWCET application form through online mode only.
  • Applicants need to fill their personal, exam address & other information in the application form.
  • Upload the scanned images of photo and signature in the prescribed format.
  • Application charges will be paid through online mode.
  • Candidates need to take a printout of the application form for further use.

Cut-Offs

The cut-off score is the minimal marks a candidate should obtain so that you can qualify AP LAWCET 2018. AP LAWCET 2018 cut-off score is based on many factors which includes:

  • Total number of candidates appearing in the entrance test
  • Total number of candidates who passed the entrance test
  • Difficulty level of question paper
  • Total number of seats

Documents to be carried for AP LAWCET are as follows:

  • LAWCET Rank card
  • LAWCET hall ticket
  • Memorandum of marks of SSC or equivalent
  • Memorandum of marks in qualifying examination
  • Provisional/Degree certificate of qualifying examination
  • Caste certificate, if any
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Income certificate, if applicable
  • Sports / PH/ NCC certificate, if applicable

Eligibility

The eligibility requirement for the exam of AP LAWCET are given below:

Applicant must have passed any Graduation (10,+2,+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned. 44.5% or more shall be rounded off and treated as 45%.

  • This exam will have one paper comprising of 120 objective type questions. 
  • Each question will be provided with 4 responses. 
  • Applicants will have to choose the one quality suited for the very question. Each question of LAWCET shall be of one mark, therefore, the total marks allotted to LAWCET is 120 marks.
  • LAWCET shall start at 10:00 am and stop at 11:30 am. Applicants will be allowed 90 minutes to take LAWCET.

Q: What is the marking scheme for the exam?

Ans: A candidate will be awarded one mark for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted questions.
