JEE Main 2021 : NTA Releases February Session Result At jeemain.nta.nic.in

The National Testing Agency has recently released the JEE Main result for the February 2021 session. The JEE Main result has been announced ten days after completing the engineering entrance exam. The exam was conducted between February 23 and February 26 in multiple shifts for around 6.6 lakh students.

Based on the JEE Main results, the top 2.5 lakh candidates would be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced for admission into the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology.

Candidates can download the JEE Main scorecard from the official NTA website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The NTA scorecard contains details, including the candidate’s name, roll number, NTA score, and other information. NTA has released two links on its official website to download the Paper 1 result. This is done to ensure that the students can download their NTA scorecard from an alternate link if the server of one is down due to heavy traffic.

The first session of JEE Main was conducted from February 23 to 26. The exam for BE/B. Tech programs were conducted at 828 exam centers across the country following strict COVID-19 guidelines.

JEE Main is conducted for admission to undergraduate programs in engineering and architecture at the National Institutes of Technology and Central and State engineering colleges. It also serves as a preliminary exam for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology, with the top-ranked candidates from JEE Main allowed to appear in JEE Advanced.

The National Testing Agency would conduct the subsequent sessions in March, April, and May. After the announcement of the result of each of the sessions, the NTA would briefly reopen applications for the next rounds. After the May session, the final result would be announced and would consider the best NTA score of the four exams for students who appear for more than one session.

The May session of JEE Main, tentatively scheduled from May 24 to 28, is likely to clash with CBSE Class 12 board exams and other board exams for some students.

NTA has asked candidates affected by this overlap to submit their board exam roll-numbers and the name of the board when the JEE Main 2021 application window opens for the May session. The application window for the May session would be available from May 4 to 12, 2021.
