Difference between Mass Communication and Journalism
Even though some people might get confused between Mass Communication and journalism, but the name itself suggests that mass communication is all about communication or publicizing information to the people at local, national, or international levels with or without any necessary objective. On the other hand, Journalism is more concern about giving information to the people about something relevant. Journalism is more anticipated in its perspective in which the stress is on real data and facts, but Mass communication is more about permitting the creative things to make the better of you.
They may not behave apparent cut differences between the two. Still, Journalism is more concern with news reporting for newspapers, magazines, or Television; on the other hand, mass communication is a much vast field surrounded by radio, graphics, films, television, online media, documentary, events, advertising, and so on.
Mass Communication Courses criteria
Even though the eligibility criteria vary from different college to college but will mostly depend on the factors mentioned below:
Undergraduate courses: Most of the undergraduate courses only required the completion of Class XII from any board.
Post Graduate courses: A postgraduate course would always require the candidate to be below 30 years of age and would have completed the Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Some would also prefer to have work experience in some media-related work.
