JEE Advanced 2020 To Be Conducted On August 23: HRD Minister

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal today shared that the JEE Advanced 2020 would be conducted on August 23, 2020. The dates were deceased and shared by the HRD in the webinar on social media with the students on May 5.

Minister Pokhriyal conveyed his best wishes to the students who will be appearing for the JEE Advanced examination on microblogging site, Twitter.  The minister on the webinar also mentioned that the JEE (Main) exam for admission in engineering colleges would be held from July 18 to 23 while the NEET exam for admission into medical colleges will be held on July 26.

JEE Advanced exam was postponed after the postponement of the JEE Main exam, which happens to be an essential eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced exam. Earlier, JEE Advanced was scheduled on May 17.

All the relevant information and the schedule for the JEE Advanced registration process will be released in a short time, and IIT Delhi would announce the actual schedule in a few days. The registration process will start only after the results for the second JEE Main have also been released.

The IITs conduct JEE Advanced IIT JEE or JEE Advanced 2020 while JEE Main, the qualifier is conducted by the National Testing Agency. Both JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2020 would be online or computer-based tests. 

The  JEE Advanced examination will be computer-based(CBT). It is held for two papers. Apart from JEE Advanced, a separate Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) for admission to architecture programmes offered at IITs.

He announced that the date of UGC NET 2020 and CBSE 12th Board examinations would be announced soon.
